Since its launch at the end of 2021, Researching Internal Displacement has provided distinctive and independent analysis on a range of topics relating to internal displacement. Its contributors include researchers, practitioners, policymakers, artists and people with lived experience of displacement. The bring perspectives from Africa, the Americas, the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
For its growing readership, the platform invites submissions (and proposals) for new and original contributions in 2023, which can take any of the following forms:
– Article-length working papers
– Short think pieces, policy briefs or blog contributions
– Videos, audio and other artistic media
They can address ANY aspect of research, practice or the arts relating to internal displacement specifically. Themes of particular interest for 2023 include: internal displacement driven by ‘private’ violence; enforcement of rights for the internally displaced; internal displacement and involuntary immobility in the context of climate change; durability of solutions for the displaced; the erosion of protection and its implications for internal displacement; and health in the response to internal displacement.
